On Friday October the 17th 2008 Avn Transsexual Performer of the Year, Allanah Starr appeared on campus for a discussion entitled “Man Enough”. An Interdisciplinary New York University Graduate Student Colloquium on Masculinity, is proud to present our inaugurating event for the Fall semester:Boy/Girl or None/Both of the Above:
Transgendered in the Twenty-First Century. Was held at the Library, 2nd Floor, Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò, 24 West 12th Street (between Fifth and Sixth Avenues), New York City Event was free and open to the public .
Man, woman, or does it matter? Are masculinity, femininity and the gender binary now obsolete? Is transgender the sexual condition of the future?
Some of the other guest were none other than the legendary Genesis P-Orridge (musician/performer/artist),
Hattie Hathaway a.k.a. Brian Butterick,(writer/producer/performer),Kestryl Cael (perrformer/writer/academic) and Allanah Starr, (pornographic actress, model, and party promoter) .and chaired by sharp-tongued but fabulous journalist, gender warrior and self-proclaimed personality Gerry Visco, of the Columbia University Classics Department, our event – celebrating, investigating and discussing the joys, freedoms, problems and predicaments of those who are, self-identify or choose to be/live/perform either, all or neither when it comes to gender – is sure to be the tranny panel to size up all tranny panels.
Thanks too Allanah Starr for the photos and always nice to see our girls out and about helping educate the public not only how to have good sex but how we live our normal lifestyles 24-7.
